It is our birth right to control our destiny. It is our right to protect us from the fundamental, extreme elements of southern populace and parties.
We do understand that Tamils and Sinhalese have to live together in the Island even after separation. Eelam is needed to protect our lives and rights from the institutionalized religious and racists elements of the South.
If we have the constitution/institutions like say Canada, US etc, the question of another country in the Island would never have arisen.
I ask the people of Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, India and Japan one question? How long does it take for the Sri Lankan government (Monks, JVP, extreme elements of the populance) to recognize that the Tamils are equal citizens of the Island. This has not happened till now... Government is only considering 13th amendment to satisfy the need of the Tamil people in the Island??? This tells us the inability to provide equal protection/rights for Tamils by the Majority part/populace.
This is the time for SEPARATION.
We build fence to protect the paddy fields from roaming cows and goats? Brothers divide the family property/business when each want to choose their own ways and destiny?
Tamils and Sinhalese will live together in peace in the Island. But it is easy for them to be good brothers/neighbors if their property is divided and each feels ownership to their land. Joint family has only created war for last 30 years. TIME for SEPARATION!
This will stop the killings and remove the undue burden on common man imposed by chauvinist politician, military and the monks.
I appeal for all the Sinhalese and Tamils to approve separation to protect Tamils and Sinhalese alike. So much mistrust has been developed between communities since independence. Political parties and the institutions let it grow out of control... Only medicine is separation... Or all will perish...
This is a broken clay-pot... cannot be mended with super glue...
Most of the Sinhalese postings are so arrogant [They do not even want to believe that Tamils exist in Sri Lanka], I do not see a way for Tamils to live together when these arrogance dominates/rules the Island.
Hatred can only kill. When you sense hatred from your neighbor you can build a better fence and/or buy a gun to protect your family... This is what the Tamils are doing...
Love could not thrive in the current environment.
